Rotary Shear ADuro C Pre-Shredder

Model Number

ADuro C-2000

Scope

Industrial Scale

Andritz Logo
ANDRITZ AG

Short Description

The ADuro C twin-shaft rotary shear shredder serves as a pre-shredder in battery recycling, operating at variable speeds, featuring intermeshing blade discs and a pendulum pusher for increased throughput. Pull-in teeth grasp and shred the material, while fixed scrapers prevent entanglement. Hardened steel blades, available in various designs, enable efficient cutting—including metals.

Product Information in Detail

  • The ADuro C is a slow-running, twin-shaft Universal Rotary Shear designed for high efficiency and reliable performance. It operates at variable speeds, with intermeshing blade discs mounted precisely on counter-rotating shafts for optimal cutting action.
  • It can be used as a pre-shredder in battery recycling, where it plays a key role in the Material Separation stage. The ADuro C can be used as a standalone pre-shredder or integrated into a two-step shredding solution with the ADuro G. In a vertical tower setup, the combined system enables efficient processing of entire battery packs with a compact footprint and optimized material flow between shredding stages.
  • A pendulum pusher actively feeds material into the cutting area, preventing bridging and boosting throughput. Pull-in teeth on the rotating blades grip the material and guide it smoothly toward the cutting zone, where it is shredded into uniform strips. Fixed scrapers keep the blades clean and prevent material buildup, ensuring consistent operation.
  • The ADuro C offers a variety of blade types. Blade width, tooth count, and design can be tailored to meet specific capacity and output size requirements. The cutting blades, made of specially hardened and tempered steel, are engineered for precision and durability—making them suitable even for metal processing.
  • Coupled shafts simplify maintenance, while a self-regulating control system ensures smooth, continuous operation.
