Terms of Service

1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Electrification Academy website and platform at https://electrification-academy.com (including platform.electrification-academy.com), and all related content, services, materials, and features offered by Electrification Academy (collectively, the "Services"). The Services are provided by Electrification Academy Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Electrification Academy", "we", "us").

BY ACCESSING, BROWSING, REGISTERING FOR, OR USING THE SERVICES IN ANY MANNER, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND OUR PRIVACY POLICY, WHICH IS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, YOU MUST NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICES.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on its behalf and represent that you have authority to bind it; "you" and "your" refer to both you and that organization.

2. Definitions

  • "Content": all text, graphics, images, data, workflow documentation, expert Q&A, articles, guides, product and vendor information, and other materials provided through the Services, excluding User Content and Vendor Content.
  • "User": any individual or entity accessing or using the Services.
  • "User Content": content Users provide through the Services (for example, profile information, community contributions, questions).
  • "Vendor" / "Vendor Content": a company listed (or applying to be listed) in the Electrification Academy portfolio, and the information, media, and materials it submits for its listing.

3. Description of Services

Electrification Academy provides an industry knowledge platform for electrification, including structured industry workflows and process documentation (for example, battery technology), expert-verified knowledge and Q&A, a knowledge hub with articles and guides, a portfolio of vendors, products, and solutions, event listings, and community features. Educational content is provided for informational purposes only.

No certification or verification: Electrification Academy is not a testing laboratory, certification body, or regulatory authority. We do not verify, validate, or certify the accuracy, completeness, technical viability, safety, or regulatory compliance of any content, product, or vendor information available through the Services, and such information must not be relied upon as verified technical guidance.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time without liability or prior notice.

4. Accounts

  • Registration: you must provide accurate, complete, and current information, and keep it updated.
  • Eligibility: you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction with parental consent.
  • Security: you are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for activity under your account; notify us immediately of unauthorized access.
  • Personal use: accounts are personal; do not share credentials.

5. User conduct

You agree not to: use the Services in violation of applicable law; infringe intellectual-property rights; harass or defraud others; upload malicious code; scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt unauthorized access; or use the Services for unauthorized commercial purposes. We may remove content or restrict access at our sole discretion.

6. Intellectual property

Our Content: the Services and Content are owned by Electrification Academy or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial informational use.

Trademarks: the Electrification Academy name, logo, and related marks are protected.

User Content: you retain ownership of your User Content and grant us a global, royalty-free license to use it to operate and promote the Services.

Aggregated data: by providing information such as company affiliation, role, and expertise, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it in anonymized or aggregated form (for example, industry insights and user trends), and to reference your company name and sector for promotional purposes, provided no confidential information is disclosed and no endorsement is implied.

Feedback: suggestions you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation.

7. Vendor listings

  • Submission: Vendors may submit company, product, and solution information for publication in the portfolio. The Vendor represents that its Vendor Content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe third-party rights, and that it is authorized to grant the rights below.
  • License and editing: the Vendor grants Electrification Academy a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, edit, retitle, excerpt, and display Vendor Content within the Services and in promotional materials for the Services (including use of the Vendor’s name and logo, for example in partner displays). We may adapt titles and descriptions for consistency and clarity; substantive technical claims remain the Vendor’s responsibility.
  • No endorsement: listing does not constitute endorsement, certification, or verification of the Vendor or its products.
  • Removal: a Vendor may request removal of its listing at any time; we may decline, edit, or remove any listing at our discretion. Cached or archived copies may persist for a reasonable period after removal.

8. Third-party services

The Services may include third-party tools, links, and sign-in options (for example, Google and LinkedIn). We are not responsible for third-party services; their terms apply independently.

9. AI features

Where the Services include AI-assisted features, you acknowledge that AI-generated output may contain inaccuracies and must not be relied upon without verification. Use of such output is at your own risk.

10. Fees

The Services are currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features, the applicable pricing and payment terms will be presented before purchase and will form part of these Terms from the moment you accept them.

11. Copyright complaints (DMCA)

If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, contact media@electrification-academy.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELECTRIFICATION ACADEMY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION OR THAT CONTENT IS COMPLETE OR RELIABLE.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ELECTRIFICATION ACADEMY OR ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY EXCEED ONE U.S. DOLLAR (USD $1), REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY, AND WHETHER OR NOT WE WERE ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Electrification Academy and its affiliates against claims arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

15. Term and termination

You may terminate by discontinuing use. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason. Clauses that by their nature should survive termination survive.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. Legal actions shall be brought in the courts located in New Castle County, Delaware.

17. Export controls

You may not use the Services if you are located in, or a national of, a country subject to U.S. sanctions, or listed on the U.S. Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals list.

18. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, government action, or internet outages.

19. Data processing agreement

Users subject to the GDPR who require a data processing agreement may contact media@electrification-academy.com.

20. Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time; material changes will be communicated in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

21. Miscellaneous

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement. If any provision is invalid, the rest remain enforceable. No waiver is a further waiver. You may not assign your rights without our written consent; we may assign freely. We may provide notices by email or through the Services. The English version governs any translation.
