- The Mathis Labcoater LTE-S is a compact, modular laboratory coater and dryer purpose-built for battery electrode research and development. Designed to support the precise coating and drying of both aqueous and solvent-based chemistries, it enables researchers to test new materials, optimize formulations, and validate processes before scaling up to pilot or industrial production.
- Engineered for versatility, the LTE-S accommodates interchangeable coating modules such as slot-die or doctor blade systems and operates on narrow webs up to 250 mm wide, or on single sheets up to 280 × 300 mm. With coating speeds ranging from 0.2 to 5 m/min, it ensures highly controlled and reproducible electrode manufacturing at lab scale.
- An integrated flotation dryer with multiple, independently controlled temperature zones provides uniform, non-contact drying of sensitive electrode layers. Advanced web guiding and tension control further guarantee coating uniformity, while built-in safety features such as LEL monitoring support safe handling of solvent-based chemistries.
- Manufactured in Switzerland, the LTE-S is available worldwide, with options for pilot testing, installation support, operator training, and after-sales service. Compact yet highly precise, it serves as a critical link between R&D and full-scale electrode production.
