Welcome to 2026. Electrification Academy launched in April 2025 with a simple goal:

To create a neutral, expert-led space where complex technologies can be understood IN CONTEXT. As we enter our second year, we’re continuing to build that structure - deliberately and step by step.

⭐️ Or 2026 Roadmap

🆕 Industry Events: Our new Industry Events Page is live—your roadmap for 2026 battery summits.

🔋 Expert Spotlight: Meet Alyssia Bostrom, our newest expert specializing in battery safety.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING - OUR 2026 ROADMAP

Electrification Academy is still a young platform, but our mission is clear.

The industry is moving rapidly, yet critical information remains fragmented across companies, research papers, and operational experiences. Electrification Academy was created to bring structure to that complexity.

Our focus is simple:

  • Map industrial process workflows with absolute clarity.
  • Connect equipment and product groups to real-world applications.
  • Integrate expert insights and practical experience into every module.

We provide the knowledge infrastructure so that both newcomers and seasoned professionals can make confident decisions. Since our launch, we’ve been building a deep, searchable technical architecture. To date, we have established:

  • 54 Precise Process Steps: Mapping 4 core battery technology processes from cell manufacturing through to recycling.
  • 20 Contextualized Product Groups: Integrating Equipment, Materials, and full-system Solutions.
  • 242 Core Industry Questions: Identified and mapped against current innovations and trends.

Our mission for 2026 is threefold:

  1. Create More Depth:
We are deep-diving into specialized process steps and critical decision-making points across all existing categories. This expansion includes the strategic growth of our Product Groups by onboarding new partner companies, integrating their specialized products and industrial equipment directly into our technical platform.
  2. Expand Operational Areas:
While we continue to build out our Battery Technology core—for example, by specializing in a new Battery Safety and Maintenance path—we are also moving further into the broader electrification landscape. This includes expanding our technical coverage into E-drive Technology and integrated systems such as BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems).
  3. Launch Custom Learning Paths:
We are excited to introduce our new role-based learning pathways, designed for both individual self-learning and corporate onboarding. The first module in an evolving series of technical tracks, will focus on hands-on training system specifically for battery technicians.

WELCOME ALYSSIA BOSTROM - BATTERY SAFETY EXPERT

Electrification Academy is built on a foundation of independent expertise. Our team consists of seasoned industry consultants who have developed our core frameworks and workflows. This expert-led curation ensures that the technical intelligence we provide is not only relevant and up-to-date but serves as a neutral, trusted resource for the entire electrification sector.

We’re excited to welcome Alyssia Bostrom as our latest independent expert contributing to Electrification Academy’s battery safety content.

Alyssia supports companies deploying advanced battery safety technologies in North America. Her work spans lithium-ion and battery-materials risk mitigation, DDR/critically damaged battery management, and standards-driven compliance. She connects emerging safety and materials technologies to the market through technical business development and go-to-market strategy.

NEW FEATURES & PLATFORM UPDATE - ELECTRIFICATION ACADEMY 2.0

On January 16 2026, we launched the second major release of our platform. These updates are designed to streamline your research and improve decision-making:

  • Industry Event Calendar: A curated roadmap of global battery and electrification summits, completed with expert recommendations.
  • Intuitive Workflow Linking: Enhanced cross-referencing between technical articles, industrial processes, and product groups
  • Enhanced Insights & Accessibility: Significant infrastructure & data tracking upgrades, including new AI search accessibility

PRODUCT & SOLUTIONS IN WORKFLOW CONTEXT

A process map is only as effective as the equipment and materials used to execute it. In 2026, we are continuing to expand our Product Groups so that tools, equipment, software, and system solutions appear directly within the industrial workflows where they belong.

PRODUCT & SOLUTIONS IN WORKFLOW CONTEXT

This does two important things:

  • Users gain immediate understanding of what equipment fits where
  • Partner companies are positioned in relevant, application-driven context

Context matters - especially in technical decision-making.

FEEDBACK & GOODBYE

Electrification Academy is still in its early days. While we are proud of the technical framework we’ve built so far, we know that the most valuable insights often come from the people doing the work in the field.

We don't have all the answers yet, and that’s where you come in. Whether you’ve spotted a gap in our process steps or have a suggestion for a new expert track, we’d love to hear from you.

Sincerely,

The Electrification Academy Team
